KYB DRESSAGE PERFORMS AT DENVER STOCK SHOW!

KYB Dressage was proud to accept an invitation from Jerry Diaz to be part of the annual Dancing Horse Show he produces each year for the Denver Stock Show. It is a widely acclaimed Night Time Exhibition choreographed to the Denver Brass Live Orchestra held every year at the wildly popular Stock Show in Denver Colorado. KYB brought five horses for the three featured spots.

The show was very well done with top quality  Reiners, Trick Roping (by Jerry Diaz himself), Liberty Work, High School solos, and many other specialty routines.

The horses and riders who made the trip were as follows: Tannenhauser owned by Kristen Allen of Lamplight Equestrian Center who performed a solo Grand Prix Freestyle and was part of the Quadrille with Yvonne Barteau aboard.  Kassie Barteau rode her FEI Young Rider Horse Gabriella who is owned by Robert Oury in the Quadrille and rode the 9 year old Lusitano mare Thalia owned by Andy Bartsch in the Latin Routine.  Agata Rekucka rode GP Ubillee ownedy by Ginna Frantz of Grand Prix Equestrian in both the Latin Number and the Quadrille.  Endel Ots rode his own Tjella S. as a Feature in the Latin Routine and rode Thalia in the Quadrille.  Jamie Lawton came along to help with the driving and to catch a little snow board time.
The horses  ( all new to the spot lighted exhibition atmosphere) all behaved very well and were well received by the Denver crowd.

The costuming for the Latin Routine was wonderful with the lighting and Tjella stole the show in his bright yellow with all that Friesian hair!

The KYB group had a great time!  One evening they watched the rodeo and another a night of Grand Prix Jumping. They saw the Super Dogs perform( and that was great fun as well).  Overall it was an experience worth repeating and the Denver crowd treated us very well from start to finish!
